Local people standing up for Newry & Mourne

Can't Fathom It is a Community Group formed in 2018, in protest against the proposals to build the Southern Relief Road.

We believe that the Southern Relief Road will be an environmental disaster for our area that will ultimately adversely effect the health and well being of the local population, as well as contributing to the serious threat of Climate Change.

As so many of our politicians are in favour of the road due to the supposed economic benefits it will bring to Warrenpoint Port, our group of residents, climate activists and local people passionate about protecting our area and ensuring that we leave it in good condition for future generations are coming together to try to keep people informed of the risks and consequences of the proposed plans.

We want to make sure that local people have a voice about the Southern Relief Road and we will do everything we can to make sure that the interests of local people are prioritised over the demands of Warrenpoint Port.
